No trip to the Mission district is complete without chowing down on some greasy Delicious (yes, capital D) Mexican food. Enter: Super Carne Asada Burrito from El Farolito = tender bits of carne asada, rice, beans, diced tomatoes, chopped onions, sprigs of cilantro, douced in salsa, melty cheese, tangy sour cream, and creamy slices of avocado - all wrapped up in a flour tortilla, and carefully swaddled in tin foil. California cuisine at it's finest. When you have the option to upgrade to "Super" (cheese + sour cream + avocado), don't be an idiot, the answer to this question is always "Yes". El Farolito is the standard quintessential grimy hole-in-wall taqueria that shells out these beastly burritos that only costs $6.78! #cheapeats. And holey guacamole, they are open til 2:30 a.m. on weekdays & 3:30 a.m. on weekends. #farolitoforthewin. P.S. 7x7 did a round up of the best super carne asada burritos in San Francisco, it must be a rough job hunting down burritos, evaluating said burritos & writing an editorial piece of their findings, but hey, someone's got to do it! :)
