(44) Beer Sausage @ Rosamunde Sausage Grill

The Beer Sausage @ Rosamunde Sausage Grill is made up of smoked/spicy beef & pork. All of their sausages are served on a French roll and include two FREE toppings (your choice of = sauerkraut, grilled onions, sweet peppers, hot peppers, or beef chili). Per the recommendation of the bartender I got my Beer Sausage paired with grilled onions and sweet peppers. The sausage was great, super juicy and the casing popped perfectly when I took the first bite. It was nuzzled into a picture-perfect grilled charred French roll and heaped high with sweet grilled onions and diced sweet peppers. I personally vouch for the (a) the duck + fig sausage with sauteed onions or (b) the aptly named Mission Sausage - all beef and bacon-wrapped with sauerkraut (featured below). The two locations are both incredible and very unique. The Mission location, located a stone's throw from the 24th Street Mission BART, has biergarten communal picnic table seating and 40 beers on tap, awesome. The Haight location is more like a little whole in the wall conveniently located next door to Toronado's which is cool enough to let you eat food from next door in their bar. SAUSAGES! For the win, huzzah!
