(96) Ube Ice Cream @ Mitchell's Ice Cream

Ube Ice Cream is made from purple yam that is imported all for way from the Philippines. It wins for being the most intriguing ice cream flavor I've ever had. It's such a photogenic beauty! It's super creamy, with a nice balance of savory/sweetness, which is a really vague description but I'm having a really difficult time explaining it's tasting notes. Guess you'll have to be adventurous and order yourself a scoop!

  1. If you don't happen to live near Mitchell's, you can make your own Ube Ice Cream (no machine, few ingredients) by clicking here: http://foodietriedandtested.blogspot.com/2013/07/ube-ice-cream.html Enjoy!
