Oh,
Cotogna. You are my favorite. Possibly my favorite restaurant in the whole City. Oh boy, that's a lot of commitment,...100% in the Top 3. There, that's better. Can't beat a perfectly executed three course meal with a $24 price tag. Cotogna, you are what dreams are made of!

The soup taste like springtime - tender English peas, buttery artichokes, oozy farm fresh poached eggs, sharp pecorino, and tangy onions. All the elements were there, each shining on their own and also working as a team. The pappardelle was out of this worrrrrld - the lamb ragu was plentiful and the cheese added an extra rich creaminess to pull it all together. Last, but not least, I had my first experience of an affogato. I am not convinced that there is a time before one has not had an affogato, and when one has had an affogato. Cold creamy scoops of vanilla swimming floating in warm espresso, uhhh yesssss. Affogatos are life-changing. Cotogna is amazing - the space, their philosophy, their food. Highly recommended!

Do you liked poached eggs now?! That looks amazing! When are we going there?!
ReplyDeleteI do now! But the yellow has to be real runny or raw, I don't like it if it's cooked through, ha. Let's go together next time you are in the City!
